My name is Rachel Gates. I am a self-driven, enthusiastic designer with a passion for publication design. My goal is to become a well-known graphic designer within Central Pennsylvania, consistently delivering high-quality, creative solutions.
About Me
I am a passionate and detail-driven graphic designer dedicated to turning ideas into impactful visual experiences. As someone who graduated from South Hills School of Business & Technology, I value commitment to growth and improvement, I’m here to bring your creative vision to life.
I believe that great design is more than just creating cool graphics. The big ethics I put into any client that comes my way are communication, connection, and clarity. Whether you need a logo design, a flyer, or a unique visual concept, I invest the time and care to make sure every detail aligns perfectly with your visions. Each project I take on is an opportunity to learn and refine my craft, and I treat every collaboration as a partnership. I’m excited to dive into new ideas, solve creative challenges, and deliver designs that truly resonate. Let’s create something extraordinary together!

My Personal Journey
In the summer of 2023, I participated in a program through the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), working for the Salvation Army at Baker Mansion in Altoona. This opportunity allowed me to work alongside my best friend and meet Kate Rimbeck, the former Director of Baker Mansion. When we first met her, she took the time to sit down with us, getting to know us on a professional level. What made her such an inspiring role model was her openness about her struggles with mental health. She taught us that it’s okay to have bad days—as long as you don’t let them define you. The past two years have been incredible, shaped by the guidance of my teachers, the camaraderie of my classmates, and the unwavering support of my mom, who has been my biggest champion from the start. I take my work in Graphic Arts seriously, knowing that Graphic Design is a highly competitive field. My goal is to push myself to be the best I can be—not just for my mother, but for myself. Ultimately, my journey is about building a career in Graphic Design, making a name for myself in Central Pennsylvania, and, hopefully, expanding my reach even further in the future.
