My Design Process

Step 1: Meeting with the Client

This can be in-person, call, text, or email, I contact the client at the appreciate time, and day (9AM-5PM, MONDAY-SATURDAY, or unless I am given permission to contact further within those times. While meeting with the client I ask an assortment of questions, depending on if the client knows what they want me to produce, or starting from scratch. These questions can range from the whole company, the feel, colors, sizes, fonts and graphics they would want to include. To conclude the meeting with the client I will discuss pay, I will give a range of how much it will cost, and we will meet within a reasonable pay for the design.

Step 2: Sketching out ideas

During the sketching process, I keep most concepts close to me, since these aren’t close to finish. Usually, the sketching process could take up to a day or two, when I complete “Finalized sketches, which they can tell the type of feel I’m creating.

Step 3: Picking a concept

After creating the Finalized Sketches, I contact the client to show the work so far, and I usually have about 3-5 concepts to show for. If the client isn’t satisfied, I go back to the drawing board, but for the most part they choose one concept, and I continue to the next step.

Step 4: Digitalize the concept

During the digital development, I would make a good digital rough within 4-5 days (depending on when the project is happening)

Step 5: Feedback (Part 2)

After completing a good digital rough, I show the client and get their feedback, if they aren’t sold on the rough, I made or is satisfied, I go back to sketches, or I continue to finish the final touches.

Step 6: Sending the Final Design

Usually on this step, they will ask for some final touches and tweak to the design, and I will send over the design and get payment. Every client has the potential to be an on-going client in my eyes!
